Improvement!
Stella is starting to get an attitude and is making demands! She has been bossing her daddy around all morning! She slept pretty well last night too. We haven't seen our pediatrician yet, but they changed Stella's IV fluids because her blood sugar was low. Her white blood cell count is still too high, but it is coming down. Stella is going to need to start drinking, and she will need to stay hydrated without the IV before we can go home. It looks like we will spend one more night in the hospital to try to get this under control. She will get another round of IV antibiotics tonight, and may need another round tomorrow evening before we go home. Thank you for your continued prayers.
Popsicles at 5am!
Stella's fever is down! She ate 1/3 of a Popsicle this morning, and I didn't have to force feed it to her. The nurse mentioned rotovirus as a possibility, and we will have more labwork done shortly.

Stella
Stella was admitted to the hospital today for dehydration. They ran some tests and realized that her white blood cell count was extremely elevated. I am staying with her, and James took Emerson home. Our pediatrician is supposed to be here in the morning. Please pray for a quick recovery.
Even though today has been rough, we still feel like we have a lot to be thankful for. Emerson needed antibiotics, but she is far better off than Stella right now. I am also thankful that I trusted my instincts and decided to take them to the doctor. Finally, I am thankful that the ER at Boone was not busy and provided such great care.
